Here you will find links to the learning technologies used by TAFE NSW, Northern Sydeny to support student learning.

Your teacher or course facilitator will advise you which systems are used in your course. You will need to login using the username and password provided by your teacher or student services.



Studespace (Sakai) is an online learning environment that gives you access to learning materials and activities related to your studies. Studespace gives you the flexibility study and submit assignments from any location with internet access.

Your teacher can grant you access to Studespace. 

You can login using your DET username and password. The Studespace login link can be found under our 'Sign Into' menu at the top of this website.

Note: Studespace is NSI's Learning Management System (LMS) also referred to as 'Sakai'.


Adobe Connect Pro

Adobe Connect Pro is TAFE NSW’s web conferencing and virtual classroom environment.

You can participate in live presentations and webinars, watch streaming video recordings from the library, participate in interactive simulations, quizzes, tests, surveys, and receive feedback from your instructors and peers.


TAFE NSW, Northern Sydney libraries' website

Our libraries provide students and staff with a variety of online resources. The A-Z Database Portal gives you access from home or on campus to a range of databases containing eJournals, eBooks, video clips, online reference and statistical information.  Online subject guides and Studylinks developed by TAFE librarians are available for most courses.

You will need to use your DEC username and password to log in to most databases.


TAFE Student Portal

The TAFE Student Portal is a gateway that provides secure access to the department’s applications, services and information.

From the portal you can access your TAFE email, your Learner Portal, and other TAFE applications. You can also change your User ID and password.
