Note:

Description: The WSET® Level 2 Award in Wines and Spirits explores the wines and spirits of the world and includes a wine tasting in each class.

The program has been designed to provide vocational training in product knowledge for those employed in the drinks industry with little knowledge of the broad range of international alcoholic beverages.

It is ideal for those seeking a good level of product knowledge, job skills and competencies in handling international wines and spirits. The program is also appropriate for those not employed in the drinks industry but who wish to expand their knowledge of international wine and spirits.

Participation in a one-hour multiple choice examination is required in the final session.

WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wines and Spirits

WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wines & Spirits

TAFE Qualification: TAFE PLUS Statement
Description: This course provides a specialist knowledge of the principal wines and spirits of the world.  It applies the Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) systematic approach to the professional evaluation of wines and spirits.  Learn to interpret information, develop a thorough understanding of market trends and make management decisions in a variety of trade and industry sectors within global and domestic markets.

The course is suitable for people within the industry either working in or wishing to progress into management roles and for the serious wine enthusiast wishing to build on knowledge gained at advanced level and acquire expertise in wine tasting. The WSET Diploma is viewed universally as the stepping-stone to the Master of Wine qualification.
WSET Award: All students will receive a record of achievement for each unit examination passed.

Students who pass all unit examinations will receive a WSET Diploma, issued by the Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET).
Entry Requirements: Participants must be 18 years old or older to comply with the NSW Liquor Act.

Participants must hold the WSET Level 3 Advanced Certificate in Wines and Spirits or a WSET approved local equivalent.
Methods of Assessment: See the WSET Specification 2011/2012
Duration: Taught hours - 126 plus examinations over a 2 year period.
Self-study approximately 7 hours per week
Price: $7500.00
