     Facts on File

The Facts on File is a set of online reference databases designed to suit the reference requirements of secondary schools, TAFE colleges and undergraduate research libraries. Each database offers hyperlinked full-text records, images, maps, time lines, citation information and more. Titles include: Ancient and Medieval History, Modern World History, American History, Health Reference Centre, World Atlas, Science & Bloom’s Literary Reference.

Students: use your DET username and password with EDU\ in front of the username (e.g. EDU\john.smith).

Staff: use your network username and password with NSI\ in front of the username (NSI\jsmith).

     Oxford Reference Online

This resource includes the World Encyclopedia, Oxford Guide to Countries of the World, the Encyclopedia of Underwater Life, the New Encyclopedia of Birds, the Encyclopedia of Mammals and many more.

     Dictionary of Australian Artists Online (DAAO)

The DAAO is an open access and dynamic scholarly reference work on colonial artists; women artists to 1950; black and white artists; Aboriginal artists of the Western Desert and Sydney Region. It includes 6895 biographies with 463 new biographies currently in progress. You can create, comment or revise those previous.
