Australia/New Zealand Reference Centre - EBSCO's searchable database provides full text, and index access to many local and international magazines, newspapers and reference books. Most general subjects are covered, including children's health.

MasterFile Premier This multi-disciplinary database provides more than 1,750 general reference publications with full text information. Covering virtually every subject area of general interest. It also includes nearly 500 full text reference books, and literature on child studies. DET username and password required.

CINAHL

CINAHL Plus with Full Text is the world's most comprehensive source of full text for nursing & allied health journals, providing full text for more than 750 journals. With more than 600,000 full-text articles dating back to 1937, CINAHL Plus is the definitive research tool for all areas of nursing and children's health literature.

Gale databases Gale databases provide access to periodical and news information on a diverse set of topics. The sub-collection General OneFile includes over 6,300 full-text titles and 400 newspaper services (a total of more than 11,000 titles). Also included in the subscription is the 'General Reference Centre Gold'.

Facts on File

The Facts on File is a set of online reference databases. The Health Reference Centre database contains articles, illustrations and videos relating to health issues, including on children's health.

Speaking from Experience

The online ‘Speaking from Experience’ series by RealTime Health is no longer available. Selected DVDs of this series are available in NSI Libraries. Go to the Speaking of Experience DVD list to see what is available at NSI. Do a new search if you want to find DVDs held by your local college library.

TVNews

TVNews indexes and abstracts Australian news items, current affairs and documentaries from free-to-air networks since 2007. You can download video content straight to your desktop or flash drive. Most programs are available the next working day. Coverage includes: Australian story, Behind the news, 60 minutes, Four corners, Lateline and all the major news broadcasts.

Vocational Studies Premier Vocational Studies Premier is designed specifically for vocational training programs. It includes child studies literature. DET username and password required.

The NSW TAFE Library catalogue lists all the resources held in NSW TAFE libraries. You can search by keyword, author, title and subject and also limit searches to specific types of materials and specific college libraries.
