Nursing eBooks

Our collection of FA Davis eBooks (currently 84 eBooks) provides 24/7 online access to medical, nursing, and health profession texts and reference resources for students, nurses, and health professionals. Our collection also includes eBooks on anatomy & physiology, athletics, physical and occupational therapy. Access the title list here.

Gale databases provide access to periodical and news information on a diverse set of topics. The sub-collection General OneFile includes over 6,300 full-text titles and 400 newspaper services (a total of more than 11,000 titles). Also included in the subscription is the 'General Reference Centre Gold'.

NetLibrary provides full-text access to a wide range of online books, including social work and Aged care titles. Currently more than 800 eBooks are available in this collection as well as 3400 publicly-accessible eBooks of Project Gutenberg.

ProQuest Central provides access to a set of databases containing more than 125 billion digital pages including Nursing and Allied Health Source, Pharmaceutical News Index, Family Health & Health and Medical Complete.

  • CultureVision - addresses cultural differences in patient care. Its current content covers reports on over 30 ethnicities and 11 religions.
  • MedCom Video Training Programs Collection - a resource of video clips covering assessment, procedure, prevention, and other nursing topics.

TVNews indexes and abstracts Australian news items, current affairs and documentaries from free-to-air networks since 2007. You can download video content straight to your desktop or flash drive. Most programs are available the next working day. Coverage includes: Australian story, 60 minutes, Four corners, Lateline, Catalyst and all the major news broadcasts.
