Spotlight on Campus
- Oscar Wilde said that “The aim of life is self-development. To realise one’s nature perfectly- that is what each of us is here for”. I have realised mine when I was a kid. However, it took 28 years before I finally made the first step. Coming to Australia and choosing TAFE as a platform for my culinary path has become the best decision in my life. TAFE in Ryde Campus is like a family, will always support, give you a piece of advice and lead you through the darkness. For someone study is an obligation, for me coming to TAFE is getting knowledge and meeting amazing people. It is also confidence that I will be surrounded with best teachers, study in best kitchens and receive updated and industry relevant information. Ekaterina Lazareva, International Student from the Russian Federation Diploma of Hospitality Management
As an Endeavour VET Award recipient, which is part of the premier Australia Awards, I recently completed the Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery in the most outstanding Ryde Campus. I am currently studying the Diploma of Hospitality and just upon completion of my study, I plan to gain some international experience overseas before heading back to the Philippines and establish my own restaurant. I am keen to apply the skills that I learnt from NSI into my business and create jobs for the local people.
