This course if for students who want to prepare to study at an Australian University. It develops English language, computer and research skills and socio-cultural knowledge for academic study. This certificate is recognised by various universities for entry into specified courses.

English Language Programs is for students who want to develop the skills to communicate in English in social or work situations, to travel or to study in an English speaking country. The progam levels range from from beginners to advanced.
English language skills – beginner to pre-intermediate
These programs are for students who need to develop their basic English. You will develop essential skills in English to prepare you to communicate in social situations or at work. Topics include listening, speaking, pronunciation, reading, writing, computer skills, vocabulary and basic grammar.
You can start at beginner, elementary or pre-intermediate level. Each level is usually 5-10 weeks. When you complete the pre-intermediate level you may enrol in Certificate III in Advanced English for Further Study or English Preparation for High School.
Certificate III in Advanced English for Further Study (EFS)
This program is for students who want to communicate more effectively in English at work or in social situations, or who want to prepare to study in TAFE or at university in an English speaking country, or for the IELTS test.
When you complete this program you are eligible for direct entry into TAFE NSW programs if you meet relevant academic requirements.

Advanced English
The Advanced English program helps you to develop fluency, knowledge of English, and strategies for ongoing independent language learning after you finish your course. You focus on speaking, listening and reading skills and you can also select to study advanced writing.

- upper intermediate to advanced
English Preparation for High School

The English Preparation for High School program consists of two 10-week levels which develop skills necessary to study successfully in an Australian high school.
The program introduces you to Australian teaching and learning practices. It also teaches you about Australian culture and prepares you to communicate with schoolmates in an Australian high school. Areas covered in the program include:
- English language
- study skills
- English for key high school subjects
- orientation to Australian schools.
You will do regular homework, research tasks, excursions and assignments outside of class. To track your progress, your exam results and reports are sent regularly to your guardian and your future high school.
Students who complete the first level of this program can enrol in Year 10 at an Australian high school. Students who complete the second level can enrol in Year 11 at an Australian high school or in the TAFE NSW Certificate III in Tertiary Preparation.

- minimum age 15 years old
