Development programs

Our development programs are opportunities for our higher education students outside of their regular studies.

The programs provide the chance to acquire additional skills, gain real-world experience and take on unique adventures and challenges.

Enactus

Enactus is an international non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring students to improve the world through entrepreneurial action. It connects student, academic and business leaders through entrepreneurial-based projects that empower people to transform opportunities into real, sustainable progress for themselves and their communities.

Enactus teams have taught families how to gain financial security, equipped the unemployed with skills to find productive employment, helped aspiring entrepreneurs achieve success, and brought economic development back to struggling neighbourhoods.

Check out enactus.org to find out more and see some of the amazing projects that they’ve already helped to accomplish in Australia and around the world.

Benefits of joining

As a member of an Enactus team, you’ll be joining a worldwide network of more than 70,500 other students who are each making their own contribution toward our shared mission of creating a better world.

Along the way, you’ll develop the kind of teamwork, leadership and communication skills that can only come from real life experiences. As well as providing vital support to those in need, by joining our Enactus team you’ll stand out from the crowd when it comes to taking the first steps in your career.

It’s an experience that will change the lives of those in need and quite possibly your own as well.

How do I join?

Any current, degree-level student at the Northern Sydney Institute is eligible to apply to join the program. If this is you, you can register your interest by filling in this quick form and we’ll be in touch to provide more information and explain your next steps.

International study opportunities

Through our partnership degrees with Charles Sturt University (CSU) and the University of Canberra (UC), students have the chance to apply to study overseas.

Charles Sturt University

Charles Sturt University offers a range of short term programs for students, as well as a wider variety of overseas study opportunities through CSU Global: csu.edu.au/csuglobal

University of Canberra

The University of Canberra offers Faculty Led Programs for students, which are short term programs run over 2-5 weeks, designed and led by UC Faculty Members specifically for UC degrees. They function like an international field trip as part of a UC unit.

In relation to the degrees that we offer in partnership with UC, there are Faculty Led Programs available in 2016 for Bachelor of Graphic Design students and Bachelor of Event and Tourism Management students.

Visit the University of Canberra’s page to find out more about Faculty Led Programs and other short term programs available at UC.
