Your pathway to a degree program in early childhood education is made simple by continuing your studies with the Northern Sydney Institute after finishing your Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent). You can complete this Charles Sturt University (CSU) degree (CRICOS Code: 085669G) in just two years full-time after completing your Diploma.
You will develop an understanding of the importance of the early years and the educator’s role in children’s lives through a balance between strong practical skills and theory.
This program is delivered at the Northern Sydney Institute's Crows Nest Campus, a learning hub for early childhood education. Our onsite training facility is one of the largest in NSW and offers simulated workplace experience for students. Incorporating the latest in equipment and innovation, the daily play sessions are used by over 400 local families and provide students with invaluable practical skills.

Course fees and fee-help information
For Australian or New Zealand citizens or who have permanent residency status in Australia the degree component of the pathway program is supported under Commonwealth Supported Places and students can elect to either pay their contribution or to defer their payment through a HECS-HELP loan, which is repaid through the taxation system once your income reaches a certain threshold.

Entry to the Bachelor of Education (Birth to Five Years) is open to students who have successfully completed the Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent).
