NSI Plus NSI Plus      

Description

Learn the basic skills of lathe and mill operations and how to safely set up and operate these workshop machines. This course is designed for the hobbyist or enthusiast working with metals to extend their skills in a friendly and sustainable workshop environment.

Entry requirements

There are no formal educational entry requirements, however; Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) must be provided by each student. This includes safety workshop clothes (cotton long sleeved shirt and pants), enclosed toe work boots or shoes and, where necessary, ear and eye protection.

NSI Plus program

NSI Plus programs are fast-tracked, commercial programs for individuals or customised for companies.

Please note that in addition to your formal training you may need to allow for additional study time. Your teacher will guide you in what is appropriate for you.

The fees shown below are commercial NSI Plus fees. No fee exemptions are available for NSI Plus courses.

PLEASE NOTE: You must register for this course before attending the class. Places in this course are allocated upon receipt of payment and full payment is required BEFORE attending class.Delivery of this course will align with national competency units. Upon successful completion, the student will be eligible for unit recognition within an applicable national qualification through the recognition of prior learning (RPL) process.
