Description

Media Composer Fundamentals is an introductory course designed to teach students the technical and organization skills of an assistant editor, and develop their editorial skills with the tools and techniques required to produce a well-edited video. At the end of this course, participants will have the opportunity to sit for the Avid 101 and 110 users’ certification.

Entry requirements

A familiarity with concepts of screen language and visual story telling is desirable, but not mandatory.
Basic computer skills and some prior experience with non linear editing software is desirable.

Please note that in addition to your formal training you may need to allow for additional study time. Your teacher will guide you in what is appropriate for you.

Part Time Evening
Course Units
This course has face to face classes  for 6 hours/week  for 6 weeks, then an opportunity to sit the user certification exam in week 7.  The fee includes 2 ebooks and an attempt at the exam. This course will be delivered Monday and Wednesday evenings 6.00pm - 9.00pm for 6 weeks commencing 31/07/2017 attendance is required on both evenings. The user certification exam will be held on Wednesday 13/09/2017.
