Description

A basic to intermediate short course to develop your skills in ArcGIS and report writing in order to apply to a range of Environmental and natural resource management contexts. This course is suited to people who have some GIS experience and want to hone their skills to an intermediate level. The course is suited to people in local and state government agencies, consultancies, and other fields of environmental management. You will develop existing skills in map presentation, attributes, georeferencing, manipulating data sources, querying maps and data, spatial adjustment, geoprocessing and more.

Entry requirements

Participants need to have a moderate level of computer literacy.

NSI Plus program

NSI Plus programs are fast-tracked, commercial programs for individuals or customised for companies.

Please note that in addition to your formal training you may need to allow for additional study time. Your teacher will guide you in what is appropriate for you.

Part Time Day
Course Units
This course runs for 4 consecutive days from 18th July 2017 to 21st July 2017, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. This course provides training in applying ArcGIS (geographical information system) to environmental and natural resource management and how to professionally present the information in a report. You are required to have basic computer, literacy and numeracy skills to successfully complete this course.
