About Northern Beaches College
Northern Beaches College is surrounded by some of the most beautiful beaches in Australia. The college is within a 5 minute drive from well-known Manly and adjacent to Warringah Mall, the third-largest shopping centre in NSW. Facilities include building skills centre; commercially equipped kitchens, including a multi-award winning training restaurant and bar; Sydney Academy of Hair, Beauty and Make-up; Gawura Aboriginal Education Centre; maritime ship simulator and a modern ceramics studio.

Lockers are located in various areas around the college. Please see the college association for lockers. You will need to supply your own lock, which must be removed at the end of each semester.

The Pittwater restaurant is open to the public. The restaurant gives students the opportunity to practice and develop professional skills in a simulated industry environment. Prices are reasonable and functions can be arranged by appointment.

Sport - recreation facilities
Various types of sporting equipment is available from the college association office. Just show your association card or other student ID. There is a wide range of leisure materials (novels, CDs and videos) available from the library for student use. Library card must be shown.

If you are studying or planning to study at NSI our Counselling & Career Services can help you with planning the best course of study for you, Austudy and Youth Allowance or dealing with personal issues. Appointments can be made in person or by phone.

Learner support
Enrolled students can get free assistance with English, mathematics and science. Learner support is available at our individual learning centre (ILC), adult study centres and adult basic education centres.
Disabilities support
Disabilities support assists in making education and training available to everyone. Teacher-consultants are available to help you with pre-entry, modified attendance, tutors, note takers, sign language interpreters, exam modifications, adaptive equipment and special courses.

Library
The library offers many resources, services and facilities to students and staff. These include relevant and up-to-date collections of books, textbooks, videos, DVDs and magazines, lending services, access to catalogues, database and information networks, reference services, inter-library loans, seminar and group study rooms. The library also provides access to the internet, computers, photocopiers and audiovisual equipment such as video, CD and cassette players. Library membership is free to all currently enrolled TAFE NSW students.

Cashier's office
TAFE NSW campuses do not accept cash for payments in relation to your enrolment charges. Payment of administration fees may be made by cheque, EFTPOS or credit card (Mastercard or Visa only).
