Hornsby College is located on the upper North Shore of Sydney in a lovely bushland setting providing students with a tranquil learning environment. Facilities include Industry-standard modern graphic design and multimedia studio complex, fine arts and ceramic studios and art gallery. The college is conveniently located just 5 minutes walk from Hornsby train and bus station.
Hornsby College is built upon the homelands of the Guringai and Darug people.

The college offers courses in information technology, multimedia, graphic design, fine arts, ceramics, photography, automotive mechanical, automotive electrical, construction (carpentry, building technology, architectural drafting), electrotechnology, access and foundation studies (School Certificate, HSC, English for Speakers of Other Languages), computing applications, office administration, accounting and finance, marketing, advertising, human resources and business management. Hornsby College also offers pre-vocational training in a number of trade areas.

Computers
PCs and MACs with internet access are available for student use in the college library. You can access this equipment on presentation of your TAFEcard at the library loans desk.

Lockers
Lockers are available throughout the college. You will need to supply your own lock, which must be removed at the end of each semester.
Photocopying
Photocopy facilities are available to students in the library, in Building K and in the Graphic design print room.
You must have a TAFEcard to use the photocopiers. You can add money to your TAFEcard using the autoloader in A Block or in the college association office. Discounts on photocopying are available to college association members.
Public Telephones
No public telephones are available on campus.
Sport - recreation facilities
A half basketball court is available for students near Building H. Board games, basketball and DVDs are available from the college association office.
The college association also provides student lounge areas in J block, K block ground floor and the canteen. There are TVs for student use in the canteen area student lounge in A block. Association members can use the kitchenettes in H Block Level 6, J Block Level 1, the canteen student lounge area and the college association office.
Hornsby Shire Pool offers a discount to Hornsby College students.

Childcare
The children's centre at the college provides affordable long day care for children aged 0–5 years of enrolled students. Places at the centre are limited (especially for children aged 0–2 years), so you should apply for child care as soon as you have enrolled in your course.
Before you can apply for child care you need to have enrolled in a course and have a timetable. At the end of the enrolment period and once all applications have been received, you will be notified if you have been successful in gaining a place for your child.

Library
The library offers a wide range of resources, services and facilities to students and staff. Resources include textbooks, references, educational DVDs and CDs, magazines, novels and movies, and inter-library loans. The library is equipped with computers providing students with free access to the internet, online subscription databases, eJournals, eBooks and statistical information. Wireless access is also provided. Library facilities include seminar and group study rooms. Students have access to access multimedia equipment, a memory card reader and photocopiers.
Library membership is free to all currently enrolled TAFE NSW students.

The college association gives members access to essential services and a range of benefits including discount movie tickets, photocopying, printing and USB flash drives. Members are also entitled to 10% discount off textbooks from the bookshop. Just tick college association on your enrolment form and pay $20 to join or visit the college association’s office.

Cashier’s office
The cashier's office is open Monday to Friday 9:00am to 4:00pm. TAFE NSW Colleges do not accept cash for payments in relation to your enrolment charges. Payment of administration fees may be made by cheque, EFTPOS, or credit card (MasterCard or Visa only). If paying by cheque please make it payable to TAFE NSW - Northern Sydney Institute then write your name, address and course number on the reverse.

- The college is a short walk from Hornsby train station. The station is on the North Shore train line. Express train services from the centre of Sydney make it possible to travel to Hornsby in 30 minutes.

Parking
Parking for students is available at Block J from 6:30am to 10:00pm and at Block K all day/evening. Parking fee is $4 for college association members and $12 for non-members. Access is via TAFEcard only.
