TAFE NSW, Northern Sydney RTO, presented by Ryde Campus is excited to announce that they are one of the three finalists for the 2017 NSW Large Training Provider of the Year Award.

To be a finalist for the 2017 NSW Large Training Provider of the Year Award is a wonderful achievement for TAFE NSW, and to get to this stage, the application process included a written application demonstrating how staff at Ryde Campus lead in the practice of Vocational Education, focusing on our students and employers and showcasing our partnerships and links with Industry and the community.  Followed by a presentation to a Judging Panel to demonstrate how Ryde Campus stood out from other VET providers.

With over 35 years’ experience in the education and training industry, TAFE NSW Ryde Campus is recognised as a specialist training centre delivering the highest quality of training in hospitality, tourism, horticulture and environmental management and is recognised as the largest hospitality training centre in the Asia-Pacific.  

The specialist facilities on campus merge together two industry sectors in the one location to create a unique and world class training centre which includes; 20 commercially equipped kitchens, bars, cafes, the TAFE NSW Training Restaurant; The Ambassador Restaurant together with State-of-the art training facilities for the horticulture industry which include computerised glasshouses, landscape design studios, a full-size cricket pitch and golfing green.

In addition, specialist training academies on-site include;

 - Sydney Coffee Academy a modern, custom-designed coffee and café training centre.

 - The Australian Patisserie Academy established in 2014, to provide culinary professionals and food enthusiasts the opportunity to further their training up to Master level in chocolate, patisserie, sugar, bread and cake design and decoration. 

In 2016, Ryde Campus expanded their outdoor facilities to include a purpose built 1000m2 kitchen garden creating a unique synergy for horticulture and hospitality students to access.  The new kitchen garden adopts entrepreneurial ideas, innovative design and sustainable practices and enhances the learning experiences of students studying at TAFE NSW Ryde Campus.

The winner of the 2017 NSW Large Training Provider of the Year Award will be announced at the NSW Training Awards presentation on Thursday, 7 September 2017.
