Industry associations and partnerships

The Northern Sydney Institute has established and continues to develop and nurture mutually beneficial partnerships with industry. This allows us to provide training that gives our graduates the skills they need for today’s workforce. Our partners are leaders in their fields and with them we give our students access to key industry qualifications and accreditations.

Our industry partnerships include:

Australian Graduate Management Consortium (AGMC)
NSI is a member of AGMC, a joint initiative of Charles Sturt University and TAFE NSW that was set up to design and deliver a completely new kind of graduate certificate in management.

AVID
The Northern Sydney Institute is part of the AVID Learning Partner Program offering certified AVID Media Composer and Pro Tools training.

Charles Sturt University (CSU)
NSI and CSU have developed a unique pathway program that allows students to continue their studies at NSI and gain a degree from CSU. The degree program is available in business studies.

Cisco Systems, Inc.
NSI is the largest Cisco networking academy in NSW and in 2009 was appointed the Cisco Authorised Training Centre (CATC) for Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific region. NSI is one of only four CATCs in the world that can offer CCNA Security instructor-level training.

Global Career Academy
NSI's partnership with the Global Career Academy in Japan enables Japanese students to study the English language while participating in vocational programs in Sydney.

Le Cordon Bleu
NSI has a long-standing partnership with Le Cordon Bleu, the world-famous provider of culinary education. The Le Cordon Bleu Sydney Culinary Arts Institute, located at Ryde Campus, is the largest Le Cordon Bleu school in the world.

Macquarie University
The Northern Sydney Institute and Macquarie University have developed a number of unique articulation pathway programs that allow students to enter a degree program at Macquarie. The degree programs are available in arts, information technology and business administration.

Microsoft
NSI is a Microsoft IT academy, offering top quality educational programs in Microsoft technologies in order to help students reach their academic and career potential.

NSW Office of Environment and Heritage (OEH)
In 2012 NSI achieved a Gold Partnership with the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage Sustainability Advantage program in recognition of NSI’s demonstration of outstanding environmental achievement and leadership. NSI is the first government organisation and the first educational institution in NSW to receive this level of recognition.

Prosell
Prosell is an international Sales Training and Performance Improvement company. We take customised training and drive it into the workplace to the point where we achieve real skill application and measurable change in business results. This is done through our workplace Licencing programs – Licence to Coach™ and Licence to Sell™.

Red Hat
NSI is a Red Hat training partner, offering certified courses in Red Hat Enterprise Linux – the leading platform for open source computing – through the Red Hat academy program.

THE-ICE
NSI was a founding member of the International Centre of Excellence – Tourism and Hospitality Education (THE-ICE), a globally recognised accreditation peak body. THE-ICE was originally funded by the Australian government to promote Australian education and research in the field of tourism, hospitality and event management. NSI was selected to represent the VET sector, recognising its position as one of Australia’s leading educational providers.

Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET®)
The Sydney Wine Academy is authorised to offer internationally recognised qualifications from the prestigious London-based WSET® and is the only training centre in Australia to offer the WSET® Level 2 Professional Spirits Certificate.
